Most people reading this will be looking to lose some fatty body mass. Pick a diet. Whichever one you want. If you want to lose weight, you better consume less food energy than what you are burning on average. Science tells us that this must be true, specifically the law of conservation of energy. Science also tells us that most of you probably didn’t pay much attention in science class, so don’t bother arguing with this idea.

If you really want to get jacked, you need to dedicate yourself to the cause today and every day. The only way to know how much energy you are consuming is to measure it. Grab a scale. Weigh your food. All of it. Count your calories. Count your calories from each macronutrient - carbs, fat, and protein. Keep them consistent. Count your alcohol calories. Keep them a little less consistent. Then, try to tell us we are wrong.
